So far “Arrow” has introduced a few new villains in season 5. This week Green Arrow battled Derek Sampson, and he’s also had his hands full with Tobias Church. But the big bad of the season is Prometheus, and he’s been making a name for himself in Star City.
Not much is known about Prometheus at this point, but it’s clear that he has a vendetta against the Green Arrow. Prometheus is a villain who Oliver unknowingly created in season 1, and he’s out for revenge.
“We can’t tell you his name, but we can tell you his game: revenge. Season 5’s villain “is somebody Oliver unwittingly created in Season 1 when he was a killer in a hood,” Producer Wendy Mericle told TV Guide over the summer. “This guy is going to be collateral damage who lost someone to the Hood and has spent the last several years training and plotting for revenge he will be a true dark mirror to Oliver Queen.”
The November 9th episode of “Arrow” is titled “So It Begins” and it looks like the episode will dive deeper into why Prometheus is targeting the Green Arrow. The CW has released the official synopsis for the episode and you can check it out below.
SINS OF THE FATHER — When Prometheus ups his killing spree, Oliver (Stephen Amell) searches for connections between the victims. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Curtis (Echo Kellum) discover the victims have a mysterious link to Oliver’s past and this new secret could upend his new team. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) has a heart-to-heart with Lance (Paul Blackthorne), and Felicity considers telling Malone (guest star Tyler Ritter) the truth about her work.
