Ever since his departure in season 3, fans have been hoping to see more of Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper. He made an appearance in season 4, and it’s been rumored that he will be making an appearance in season 5.
Arsenal seems like he would be a welcome addition to Team Arrow in season 5, but producer Wendy Mericle recently told TV Line that at the moment there are no plans in place to bring Roy Harper back. However, she didn’t rule out an appearance in the future.
“We would have Roy back in a heartbeat,” she says. “If the right circumstances come up and the right storyline presents itself, absolutely.”
Oliver Queen is now the mayor of Star City, and it looks like he’s going to be spending a lot of his time putting a new team together following the events of season 4. Unfortunately it sounds like you can count Roy Harper out for now.
“Arrow” will return on the CW for season 5 on October 5th.
