“Justice League” is currently filming in London and various members of the press were recently invited to the set where new details about the film were revealed. A new synopsis was released along with the official logo, and it was revealed that the main villain won’t be Darkseid, it will be Steppenwolf.
Deborah Snyder revealed that Steppenwolf will be the main villain and although they are close to closing a deal, an actor hasn’t officially been cast yet. The first half of the film will feature Batman putting together the Justice League after he learns that Steppenwolf is bringing an army of Parademons to Earth.
It was also noted that the film won’t be as bleak as”Batman V Superman” and Batman won’t be a man at the end of his rope like he was in the film. This time around Batman will be filled with a new sense of hope as he assembles a team of heroes. The plot synopsis reads as follows:
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
“Justice League” opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.
