One of the hot rumors going around this week is that both Tyrese and Chris Pine will be starring in the next Green Lantern film. Tyrese has been lobbying for the role of John Stewart for quite some time now and several different sources are reporting that he’s got it. The reports going around are saying that the next Green Lantern film will have two Green Lanterns with Tyrese as John Stewart and Chris Pine as Hal Jordan.
Warner Bros. is expected to reveal a lot of news about their cinematic universe this year and it’s looking like a pretty safe bet that we’ll be finding out if the Green Lantern rumors are true or not.
Entertainment Weekly recently caught up with Tyrese after he posted the image above and asked him to comment on the rumors. He pretty much says all he can say without coming outright and admitting that he’s going to be in the movie.
“There are certain things I can’t speak on. But I will say, however this works out, it’s definitely the fans’ fault. I was at home minding my own business and fans start creating these fan-made videos of me as Green Lantern and I looked into it. I’ve been a fan of the Green Lantern. I took the oath, and I had a meeting at Warner Bros. and certain things were said and talked about. We’ll just see what happens.” he told Entertainment Weekly.
