It was announced this week that DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” will indeed be returning for season 4 in the fall, and the rest of the “Arrowverse” shows were also picked up for new seasons.
It’s already been confirmed that John Constantine will be a series regular in season 4, and now another cast member has been promoted, as EW is reporting that Jes Macallan who plays Ava Sharpe on the show will be a series regular when the show returns in the fall.
Fans have slowly been finding out more and more about Ava throughout season 3, but it sounds like there are still some interesting reveals ahead.
“Her character arc was a bit of a slow burn this season, and yet each episode revealed a new facet of her character,” Executive producer Phil Klemmer said. “She’s been alternately funny, poignant, engaging, endearing, and kick-ass this season — and yet I know for a fact that we haven’t hit all of Jes’s hidden gears as an actor. We are lucky to have a whole new season in which to find them. It’s not every actor who can find the emotional heart of a storyline that features John Constantine, a chicken, and a severed human foot. Thank God we found Jes Macallan.”
DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” will return for the season finale next Monday.
“SEASON FINALE — The Legends plan to vanquish Mallus by using the totems doesn’t go as planned, forcing Rip (guest star Arthur Darvill) to improvise. The team finds itself regrouping in the Wild West where they run into their old pal Jonah Hex (guest star Johnathon Schaech). Sara (Caity Lotz) leaves Ray (Brandon Routh) in charge of watching Damien Darhk (Neal McDonaugh), while she comes up with a new plan. Meanwhile, Amaya (Maisie Richarson-Sellers) is determined to find a way to use the totems to destroy Mallus. Dominic Purcell, Tala Ashe, Keiynan Lonsdale, Nick Zano and Franz Drameh also star. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Phil Klemmer (#318).”
