After a long wait, “Justice League” is now in theaters. The film finally unites Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg on the big screen, and it expands the DCEU in a big way.
Ben Affleck has been a key player in the DCEU ever since he took on the role of Batman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and most people seem to agree that he’s done a fine job with his interpretation of the character.
Batman is a character who relies heavily on gadgets to get by in combat situations, and during a recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Affleck admitted that he decided to take one of those gadgets home with him.
“But there was some other stuff that fell off the truck, like the batarangs and stuff. I kept getting these phone calls from the prop department, like, ‘You sure you haven’t found any of that stuff yet?’”
Even though Affleck technically stole the batarang, he doesn’t consider it stealing because he was sent a hefty bill for the prop from Warner Bros.
“You can’t exactly have been stealing if you got been billed for it, which is what happened to me. Turns out batarangs aren’t cheap!”
“Justice League” is in theaters now.
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
