We hope you enjoy Star Wars, because you’re going to be seeing a lot of it, until the end of time. Disney has big plans for the Star Wars franchise and one of those plans includes creating a movie based on a young Han Solo. Obviously Harrison Ford no longer fits the bill as “young” so a new actor is being cast.
It was reported months ago that casting directors were giving everybody under the sun a chance to audition, but now they’ve got it down to “about a dozen actors” according to Variety. They’re reporting that the actors on the shortlist to take over the iconic role include Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, Jack Reynor, Scott Eastwood, Logan Lerman, Emery Cohen and Blake Jenner.
The report goes on to mention that the film won’t be shooting until next January but that the reason they’re casting the role so early has something to do with another “Star Wars” film that’s currently in production. Could Han Solo be making an appearance in “Rogue One”?
