HBO has finally released the first full trailer for “Game of Thrones” season 6 and it was definitely worth the wait. The trailer shows all of our favorite characters in various predicaments and it looks like some terrible things await all of them.
The trailer opens with a shot of Jon Snow’s “dead” body as someone says the words “he’s gone.” But of course everyone’s wondering if he’s really gone. When we last left Castle Black Jon Snow had been killed but Melisandre had arrived shortly before his death. One of the popular fan theories going around at the moment is that Melisandre will be resurrecting Snow at some point in season 6.
The rest of the Stark family (what’s left of it anyway) doesn’t seem to be faring much better. Sansa is alive thankfully, but she still looks fully entrenched in the deadly politics of Westeros. We also get to see Bran for the first time in a long time as he comes face to face with a familiar foe.
We also see many other familiar faces such as Daenarys Targaryen marching among the Dothraki with Jorah on the hunt trying to find her. The religious nut jobs in King’s Landing are still trying to take over the city. But Cersei has her newly resurrected zombie version of The Mountain and she looks like she’s ready to go to war.
Tension slowly builds in the trailer but towards the end things get bad and it all boils over. You can check out the clip below.
