The Flash is heading to National City for an episode of “Supergirl” later this month and everyone’s been wondering how exactly he’s going to get there. Many fans assumed that the multiverse would come into play and the official synopsis for the episode confirms it.
The Flash “suddenly appears” from an alternate universe to team up with Supergirl as they take on Silver Banshee and Livewire. You can read the official synopsis below.
“Worlds Finest” – Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, March 28 (8:00-9:00 PM) on the CBS Television Network. Grant Gustin crosses over as The Flash.”
The Flash and Supergirl may be teaming up, but they’ll also be going head to head in the episode. Producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that there will be a foot race in the crossover and Kreisberg told EW that “it’s close” in regards to the winner.
CBS has also released a cover which pays tribute to Superman 199, only this time around it’s Supergirl in his place. Check it out below.
