Whoa, things just got real for “Supergirl.” Not only is the show moving networks in the fall, but it’s also going to introduce Superman. That’s right, no more teasing, Superman is actually going to appear and the show won’t waste any time introducing him.
“Greg, Ali and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of ‘Supergirl,'” Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg said. “Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season and we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!”
Most fans assumed that Superman wouldn’t make an official appearance on the series due to the fact that he’s such a big part of the DC film universe right now, but Superman is coming. However, the casting has not been announced yet so it’s not known who will be playing him when he debuts on the show. Many fans are already calling for Tom Willing of “Smallville” to take on the role, but it remains to be seen if that will actually happen.
In any case, “Supergirl” is joining the CW and it’s already been confirmed that she will be part of a 4 part Arrowverse crossover later this year. Now with Superman in play things just continue to get crazier and crazier for superhero shows on the CW.
