“Supergirl” has officially landed on the CW, and later this year the show will be part of an epic four-part crossover. The crossover will see heroes from “The Flash,” “Arrow” and DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” team up to battle the Dominators.
For many characters in the “Arrowverse” the crossover will be the first time that they meet Supergirl. According to producer Andrew Kreisberg, everyone will have a different reaction to her.
“Some people, like Barry [Grant Gustin], already know her, so Barry’s completely cool with her,” Kreisberg told EW. “Some people are instantly charmed by her; I think Sara’s [Caity Lotz] got a little crush on her. Diggle [David Ramsey], as always, just when he thinks he’s seen it all, there’s a moment in it where somebody says, ‘This is Supergirl,’ and they say, ‘What’s so super about her?’ and she just lifts off the ground. Dig’s like, ‘I’m convinced.’”
Although most of the characters will welcome Supergirl, Oliver Queen won’t be as friendly.
“Part of Oliver’s [Stephen Amell] journey in those episodes is he’s kind of hit his breaking point for things he’s willing to accept,” Kreisberg added.
Oliver Queen has certainly had a rough go of it over the past few seasons. He’s battled Ra’s Al Ghul, been introduced to metahumans, and last season the show introduced the concept of magic via Damien Darhk. But according to Kreisberg, Supergirl is just a little too much for Oliver, and he’ll be keeping his distance from her.
Look for the four-part crossover to air on the CW in November.
