“Arrow” is set to return for season 5 in October and filming for the new season is well underway. Stephen Amell recently shared the first photo from the set and he’s looking extra ripped nowadays.
Last season on “Arrow” the flashbacks once again took place on Lian Yu. Oliver met a woman on the island named Taiana, who passed away. But before she died Oliver promised her that he would go to Russia and see her family.
It’s been no big secret that “Arrow” will be heading to Russia for the flashbacks in season 5. Producer Wendy Mericle has been teasing it for a few months now and Stephen Amell’s new picture is a pretty good indication of where things are headed.
Last season Stephen Amell was able to say goodbye to the wig he used to wear in the flashback as Oliver Queen cut his hair. However, it appears that Oliver Queen once again has his flashback hair, and the picture suggests that Mr. Queen is getting ready for a fight.

For years now fans have been dying to know more about the connection between Oliver Queen and powerful Russian organization known as Bratva, and it looks like the show will be filling in some of the blanks next season.
“Arrow” will return for season 5 on the CW on October 5th.
