“Arrow” star Stephen Amell hasn’t been shy about letting the world know that he loves professional wrestling, and he’s currently 2-0 inside of the squared circle. Amell picked up a big win in a tag team match at SummerSlam in 2015, and he recently picked up another win when he teamed up with The Bullet Club during a recent ROH event in San Antonio.
Amell’s first match which saw him team up with Neville to take on King Barrett and Stardust led to a friendship with Cody Rhodes, and Rhodes has since appeared on “Arrow” twice as a villain named Derek Sampson.
There’s always a chance that Derek Sampson could return in the future, and if he does Amell hopes that Cody Rhodes brings the rest of The Bullet Club with him.
During a Q&A panel at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in San Jose over the weekend, Amell said he’s trying to get The Bullet Club to appear on the show.
“I’m trying to get those guys to come out to one of these shows, as a group, I think that would be amazing. Those guys are great. Matt and Nick and Kenny and Cody being the main guys I’ve been able to hang out with. I appreciate anyone that does something in an entrepreneurial spirit. Those guys are really paving their own way. I mean, we would decimate them in one episode. They would be the group that we would foil in act one, and then figure out what the real problem was. If Sampson was to come back on the show, it would only make sense that he would be surrounded by his group of Bullet Club friends.”
Whether it will happen or not remains to be seen, but you have to admit that it would be pretty cool to see Team Arrow get hit with a barrage of superkicks from The Young Bucks.
