It’s an interesting time to be a Marvel fan, that’s for sure. After years of hoping to see the X-Men integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans will be getting their wish as Disney recently acquired most of Fox, which means they now have the rights to their characters back.
What that means for the future of Deadpool is uncertain, but given how popular Ryan Reynolds has been as Wade Wilson, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Marvel Studios make an exception and find a way to keep him around.
“Deadpool” found a lot of success last year as it was one of the biggest films of 2016, and “Thor: Ragnarok” was one of the biggest films of 2017.
Apparently “Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds recently caught the film, and he had nothing but praise for director Taika Waititi.
Late to the party on Thor: Ragnarok. I dislocated my face laughing. @TaikaWaititi is an international treasure. Protect his mind and body at all costs. @thorofficial

Thor will return to the big screen this year in “Avengers: Infinity War” which opens on May 4, and Deadpool will return in “Deadpool 2” which is set to hit theaters on June 1, 2018.
