Earlier today it was reported via The Wrap that Ryan Reynolds would be appearing in “Logan” as Deadpool. The report claimed that Ryan Reynolds has already filmed his scene, and that it could possibly end up as a post credit scene. However, “Logan” director James Mangold took to Twitter shortly after the report surfaced, and he’s claiming that the report is not true.
@TheWrap @VancityReynolds @WolverineMovie For everyone freaking out, @TheWrap is dealing in fake news. Chill.

James Mangold continued to call The Wrap’s report “fake news” and he insisted that Deadpool is not a part of the film.
"@TheWrap has not reported Deadpool & Logan would appear side-by-side." Cause Deadpool ain't in the film, pal. Keep backtracking.#fakenews

Ryan Reynolds himself and Hugh Jackman also took to Twitter to say that the report is untrue.
Sadly, not true. Prisoner 24601 is on a solo mission. https://t.co/5czBmMRfY1

Although it would be cool to see Deadpool make some sort of appearance in “Logan,”
everyone involved is adamantly denying that Deadpool is in the film, which is unfortunate news for Deadpool fans. But the reporter who broke the story seems to be standing by his scoop, so we’ll just have to wait and see exactly how this unfolds.
Either way we still get to see Hugh Jackman light up the big screen as Wolverine one more time, and if the trailer is any indication, the movie will be one to remember.
“Logan” hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
