It was recently announced at the Television Critics Association press tour that “Supergirl” and “The Flash” will be crossing over for a pair of musical episodes.
Stars like Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin were formerly cast members of the musical show “Glee” so there’s no denying that the cast members have the chops to pull this off.
However, in order to get it right the musical crossovers are going to need the perfect director at the helm, and according to That Hashtag Show the crossovers will be directed by none other than Joss Whedon.
Joss Whedon knocked it out of the park with “The Avengers” in 2012 and he’s also no stranger to musicals.
Over the years Whedon has received a lot of praise for the musical episode of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” titled “Once More With Feeling.” He also directed an episode of “Glee” in the past.
According to the report the villain of the crossover episodes will be Music Meister, a character who was created for the musical episode of “Batman: The Brave and the Bold” and was voiced by Neil Patrick Harris.
That Hashtag Show’s sources are adamant that Whedon is in, but the CW has not confirmed the news so it should be treated as a rumor for now.
