It was bound to happen at some point. No one was being shy about the fact that Oliver Queen and/or Barry Allen would eventually show up on DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow.” That’s the type of thing you just have to expect when you’re watching a TV show that focuses on DC Comics characters traveling through time.
But producer Marc Guggenheim rocked everybody’s world last week when he revealed that the team would be meeting future Oliver Queen who will be sporting a goatee and only one arm.
“Every once and a while, we do an episode where the 10-year-old me has to pinch himself. We’re not only introducing our version of Connor Hawke to our universe, we’re going to meet the 2046 version of Oliver Queen, and Stephen Amell is going to be reprising his role from Arrow. As an added bonus to comic-book fans, Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal Dark Knight Returns. We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.” Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly.
Now the CW has revealed when the episode featuring the Oliver Queen appearance will air. The “Legends of Tomorrow” team will travel to the future in “Star City 2046” which is set to air on February 25. The CW has also released an official synopsis for the episode which you can check out below.
THE TEAM ENCOUNTERS A VERY DIFFERENT OLIVER QUEEN – When a malfunction sends the Waverider crashing into 2046 Star City, our heroes face a startling version of their own future where they never stop Savage (guest star Casper Crump) and never return home.
