There have been several actors who have played Batman over the years, and every fan has an actor who represents “their” Batman. For some fans it’s Michael Keaton, for some it’s Christian Bale, and for some fans it’s Kevin Conroy.
Conroy has become synonymous with the name Batman over the years thanks to his work on “Batman: The Animated Series” and “Arkham” franchise. Kevin Conroy recently participated in a panel at Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con, and he revealed that his picks for not only the best Batman, but also the best Bruce Wayne.
“Each actor brings such a different art to the character. It’s really fun,” Conroy told the crowd via ScreenGeek.net. “I think Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne was probably the best Bruce Wayne. I think the voice he used for Batman was bizarre. I think Ben Affleck – a lot of people gave him a lot of crap for getting cast. People on Twitter were going crazy about it and I said, “Wait a minute, wait a minute. Give him a chance.” I think he surprised a lot of people. He’s really wonderful. He does really well on both Batman and Bruce Wayne. So, I think it’s fun to see different actors what they do with it.”
As for the best Joker, Conroy praised Heath Ledger’s performance, but he made it clear that he feels Mark Hamill is the greatest Joker of them all.
