Soon we’ll be seeing “Supergirl” crossover with “The Flash” for the first time ever and anticipation for the episode is at an all time high. “The Flash” has crossed over with “Arrow” before, and the last crossover played a huge role in kicking off DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow.”
So with “Supergirl” crossing over with “The Flash” and all the shows in the Arrowverse crossing over with each other, how good are the chances that all four shows could crossover someday? According to Grant Gustin, the chances are pretty good.
“That’s in the cards at this point,” Gustin told Entertainment Weekly. “The whole point of us doing this crossover is setting up the fact that maybe next year we can cross over all of them.”
If there’s one thing that we should all have learned by now when it comes to comic book crossovers, it’s that you should never say never. But it doesn’t look like we’re going to have to. Judging from that quote, Grant Gustin sounds pretty confident that a potential crossover could happen, so let’s hope his confidence is not misplaced.
Grant Gustin also noted that the southern California location where “Supergirl” shoots also provided a different vibe than the Vancouver location where “The Flash” usually shoots. As far as tone goes, this crossover will be different when compared to the previous Flash/Arrow crossovers.
“Almost everything has been in the sun, which is very different than when we do Flarrow. It’s just lighter, brighter, and a different type of energy.” Gustin added.
“Worlds Finest” airs on CBS on Monday, March 28 at 8pm EST.
