Earlier today there was a report going around via The Week claiming that HBO is planning on making a “Game of Thrones” movie. The report claimed that the film would dip back into “certain periods of the series” and be a “one off plot” featuring characters such as Ned, Rob and Catelyn Stark.
The report wasn’t making the rounds for very long before “Game of Thrones” creator George R.R. Martin shot the rumor down. See what he had to say below.
“Yes, completely false. No one is working on any movie just now. And if there was a movie, it would not be about Robert’s Rebellion.” Martin wrote on LiveJournal.
There you have it, “Game of Thrones” won’t be hitting the big screen anytime soon. But the show will return for season 6 on HBO next year.
