The epic four way “Arrowverse” crossover kicked off at the very end of this week’s episode of “Supergirl” and it continued during “The Flash.”
At the beginning of the episode Barry encountered a crashed alien ship, and the Dominators were revealed. Barry Allen quickly assembled a team, and everyone met up in a hanger owned by S.T.A.R. Labs.
Shortly after everyone assembled, Martin Stein and Jax told Barry about the message they found from future Barry on the Waverider. They wanted him to listen to it alone, but he insisted that Oliver come along. They listened to part of the message, and it was a confession from future Barry as he spoke about Flashpoint and how he changed the timeline, and also said that they shouldn’t trust anyone, including him.
Cisco later stumbled onto the recording, and he forced Barry to confess to everyone. Barry told Diggle how he used to have a daughter instead of a son, and everyone, besides Team Flash, was shocked when they found out about Flashpoint.
While this was happening the Dominators kidnapped the President, and the team decided to go after him without Barry. Oliver said he wouldn’t go without Barry so the rest of the team left them behind.
The Dominators set up a trap, and used a machine to control the minds of the team. Everyone but Barry and Oliver fell under the mind control of the Dominators while they were trying to rescue the President. The President was killed, and a civil war broke out back at S.T.A.R. Labs, as Barry and Oliver tried to fight off White Canary, Supergirl, Firestorm, Speedy, Diggle, Heat Wave and The Atom.
Barry tricked Supergirl into destroying the mind control machine, and the mind control was broken.
As everyone was getting back to normal outside of S.T.A.R. Labs, Diggle, White Canary, Speedy and The Atom were all abducted by the Dominators. A yellow light then appeared on Oliver, and Barry rushed to save him, but Oliver was abducted as the episode ended.
