“The Flash” is a show where characters come and go often, and fans haven’t seen Jay Garrick of Earth-3 since the season 3 finale which aired back in May.
But the good news is that fans will be seeing Jay Garrick at some point in season 4, and John Wesley Shipp recently confirmed to Digital Spy that he will be returning.
“Yes, I believe I can say that,” Shipp said. “I’ve not had it confirmed, but the answer to that is yes!”
After Jay Garrick was saved from Zoom’s prison in season 2, he’s acted as a mentor to Barry Allen.
Season 4 is just kicking into high gear with the rivalry that’s unfolding between The Flash and The Thinker, and The Thinker is unlike any villain Barry Allen has faced before, so it’s not hard to see how Barry could use a little advice at this point in the season.
But for now all matters regarding The Thinker will have to be put on hold, because the heroes of the “Arrowverse” will be battling their evil doppelgangers in the four way crossover titled “Crisis On Earth-X” this week.
“THE EPIC FOUR-WAY CROSSOVER WITH “ARROW,” “SUPERGIRL,” “THE FLASH” AND “DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW” BEGINS — Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (guest star Candice Patton) wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards), Iris West and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save the world. Larry Teng directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Robert Rovner & Jessica Queller (#308). Original airdate 11/27/2017.”
