If you’re one of those fans who likes to binge watch shows like “The Flash” and “Arrow” on Netflix then you’re in luck. According to a new report from Variety the CW is close to signing a deal with Netflix that will bring the shows to the streaming service much sooner than usual.
As of right now the shows typically arrive on Netflix a few weeks after they are released on DVD but that could be changing. The report notes that if the deal gets done seasons of CW shows could be available on Netflix less than two weeks after they end.
The CW is apparently doubling down on Netflix as their deal with Hulu is coming to an end. The network first signed a deal with Hulu in 2011 and as of right now their shows air on the streaming network on a rolling-five basis.
It’s being said that Netflix has stepped up their financial terms in order to bring seasons of CW’s popular shows to their service faster and the deal comes with a big price tag.
Representatives from the CW and Netflix have yet to comment on the report but the deal is expected to be announced next week.
