During season 3 of “Arrow” were introduced to Felicity Smoak’s mom and now it’s been confirmed by TVLine that she will be returning in season 4 and appearing in multiple episodes. They broke the news last month that Charlotte Ross who plays Felicity’s mother would be appearing in episode 6 of season 4 and now they’ve confirmed that she will be in episodes 9 and 10 as well.
It remains to be seen how she will be integrated into the storyline, but one of the popular fan theories going around at the moment is the possibility of season 4’s big bad, Damien Darhk, being Felicity’s father. Should that theory it would make sense to incorporate Felicity’s mother into the storyline. David Ramsey who plays Diggle on the show commented on the identity of Felicity’s father earlier this year teasing that it will be a big reveal.
“When you find out who Felicity’s father is, you’ll know why she can beat anyone (mentally)” Ramsey said during a panel at MegaCon.
“Arrow” returns for season 4 on October 7th.
