Emilia Clarke has become a household name over the past few years thanks to “Game of Thrones.” Now the 28 year old actress has just been named “Sexiest Woman Alive” by Esquire. That’s quite the honor for the Mother of Dragons.
Clarke is currently busy filming “Game of Thrones” season 6 where she will return to the role of Daenerys Targaryen. But she took some time out of her busy schedule to talk to Esquire and pose for a steamy photo shoot. During the interview Clarke admitted that she knew very little about “Game of Thrones” before her audition.
“I had two scenes which told me nothing and not very much time in which to read all those [George R. R. Martin] books,” says Emilia. “So I did what every good actor does and Wikipedia’d the living crap out of it.”
That’s ok, she’s basically the most recognizable face on the show right now so it’s safe to say things worked out for the best. Congratulations to Emilia Clarke on being named the “Sexiest Woman Alive.”
