“Arrow” season 5 has already added two vigilantes to season 5 as Wild Dog and Vigilante will both be joining the cast. Now it’s been revealed that yet another vigilante will be throwing herself into the mix next season.
Madison McLaughlin will be reprising her role as Evelyn Sharp next season and Evelyn will be transforming into Artemis according to Variety. Evelyn Sharp last appeared in the season 4 episode “Canary Cry” where she took up the mantle of Black Canary and attempted to murder Ruve Darhk before the Green Arrow talked her out of it.
After her failed attempt at becoming the Black Canary she will be trying to do her own thing as Artemis. She will be featured in multiple episodes of season 5 starting with the second episode.
Artemis was featured in the “Young Justice” animated series and she became Green Arrow’s sidekick after Roy Harper branched out on his own. It seems likely that the show could bring her into the Team Arrow fold as Oliver really seemed to get through to her in “Canary Cry.” Also Team Arrow could probably use some reinforcements since several team members decided to walk away during the season finale.
“Arrow” will return for season 5 on October 5th.
