There’s been a popular fan theory going around for quite some time now saying that Damien Darhk is Felicity Smoak’s father. But sorry fans, “Arrow” producer Wendy Mericle already debunked that theory a few months ago. Now she’s taking things one step further by confirming Felicity’s father won’t have anything to with Darhk’s organization, H.I.V.E.
“We are actually figuring out Felicity’s father as we speak. It’s not going to be tied to H.I.V.E. It’s going to be something that is more personal, emotional, speaks directly to her story, and a big bombshell that’s going to be coming out — a big reveal between her and Oliver later in the story — and the story is going to really speak to that.” Wendy Mericle told Entertainment Weekly.
Today we learned two things, Felicity’s father has nothing to do with H.I.V.E. and the reveal will have something to do with Felicity and Oliver’s relationship. That is of course if Wendy isn’t just trying to throw us off. Now that both Damien Darhk and his members of H.I.V.E. are out of the running, it’s anyone’s guess as to who Felicity’s father might be.
