Arrow Producer Reveals Which Character Will Never Be Killed Off

Out of all the DC shows on the CW “Arrow” is without a doubt the darkest. Oliver Queen has had to overcome tragedy time and time again, and over the courses of 5 seasons he’s seen many people close to him die.

Although Oliver has already lost a lot, it’s likely that more people close to him will die before the series comes to an end. However, executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, and he revealed that one character is off limits when it comes to potential deaths.

“There’s two lines in the sand that I’ve drawn for Arrow for myself,” Guggenheim told EW. “I can’t speak for Greg [Berlanti] or for Wendy [Mericle], but for as long as I’m involved with the show, the two things I never want to do is kill off Thea [Willa Holland] and put Felicity in a mask and a costume. Those, to me, are two lines that I just think are a bridge too far. Thea, because we’ve taken so many family members away from Oliver, and Felicity because when you put a character like that in a costume, I think it diminishes who that character is and it makes the idea of superheroics seem silly.”

Thea Queen has been absent for a great deal of season 5, but at least we can rest easy knowing that she’s safe as long as Marc Guggenheim is around.

“Arrow” returns tonight with “Disbanded.”
