When we last left Oliver Queen and company at the end of “Arrow” season 4 Team Arrow was in shambles. Laurel lost her life, Thea and Diggle left the team and Captain Lance left town. With Captain Lance gone Star City PD is going to need some reinforcements and it looks like Tyler Ritter will be stepping in to help.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Tyler Ritter has been cast in a recurring role in “Arrow” season 5 and he will be playing a SCPD officer named Detective Malone. That doesn’t necessarily mean Quentin Lance is gone for good though as he’s still set to be a regular next season.
“Arrow” season 5 is set to introduce several new cast members. Rick Gonzalez has signed on to play Wild Dog, Josh Segarra is playing Vigilante and Chad L. Coleman of “The Walking Dead” recently signed on to play a villain.
“Arrow” will return to the CW on Wednesday, October 5th.
