Last night was the epic season finale that wrapped up the stellar season 1 of “The Flash.” From here on out we’re going to be talking a little bit about the finale so if you’re not caught up, a spoiler alert is in full effect.
Tom Cavanaugh who had been playing Eobard Thawne who was pretending to be Harrison Wells (still with me?) met what looked like his untimely end last night. Cavanaugh’s Harrison Wells was a huge highlight for “The Flash” season one and was pretty much the linchpin that held everything together. Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that Tom would indeed be returning for season two when he recently spoke to EW.
“Tom Cavanagh will continue to be a regular on Flash is all I am prepared to say,” Kreisberg said.
Of course this could mean that next time around we get the real Harrison Wells as opposed to Eobard Thawne in his body as Grant Gustin recently confirmed that the time travel element has opened up the Multiverse.
As for the return of the Reverse-Flash, well this is a comic book show and we all know how comic book deaths work out.
“On Flash, you’ve never seen the last of anybody, no matter what happens to them,” Kreisberg told EW.
