It’s been rumored for quite some time now that Ben Affleck wants out of the DCEU, and Affleck hasn’t done much to dispel the rumors after he recently said that he’s trying to find a cool way to “segue out of” the role.
According to some people, the rumors are more than just rumors, and those close to the situation believe that Affleck is already out.
At this point not much is known about Matt Reeves’ upcoming Batman film, but Affleck let the world know he’s not confirmed for the movie when he said that the film is something he’s “contemplating.”
Matt Reeves reportedly has another actor lined up to fill the role if Affleck does indeed step away, and that actor is apparently Jake Gyllenhaal. Jake was previously being considered for the role of Bruce Wayne in “Batman Begins” but in the end it was Christian Bale who ended up with the role.
Of course rumors are just rumors, but it appears at this point that Ben Affleck’s future with the DCEU is uncertain at best.
