When “The Flash” returned for season 4 in October, Team Flash was in a very different place. Barry Allen was still trapped in the Speed Force, Kid Flash and Vibe were doing the work out in the field, and Caitlin Snow was off the team completely.
Luckily Cisco managed to convince Caitlin to join the team again, and together they found a way to break Barry out of the Speed Force.
When Barry got out of the Speed Force, he wasn’t quite himself. Grant Gustin noted that he was “talking all over the place” and he was drawing all sorts of weird symbols.
It seemed that a lot of what Barry was doing and saying was random, but that’s not the case. Grant Gustin recently revealed to TV Line that what Barry was doing in the season premiere will come back into play later in the season.
“We’ll circle back, I would imagine, at some point this season and connect all of them for you. But yeah, that was all very important, everything he said at the beginning of the year.”
