Thea Queen has been a central character on “Arrow” since the beginning, but her number of appearances were decreased last season at the request of Willa Holland herself. In the “Arrow” season 5 finale, Lian Yu exploded, and fans were left to wonder who survived for several months.
In the end we found out that William’s mother is the only one who died, but not everyone else who survived made it out in tip-top condition.
In the “Arrow” season 6 premiere, Oliver Queen walked into a hospital room where it was revealed that his sister, Thea Queen, was in a coma.
Due to the state that Thea is in, she hasn’t made any other appearances in season 6, but it sounds like that could be changing soon.
Stephen Amell recently spoke to TV Line, and although he was hesitant to say too much, Amell did indicate that Willa Holland has been back on the set recently.
“Willa [Holland] has been back with us recently…” Amell said.
Stephen Amell even went one step further saying that he pitched an idea for Thea’s return.
“I don’t think it’s a big reveal to suggest that series regulars, when they are in comas, tend to wake up eventually…. But, assuming that Willa is back at a certain point, I think that there are some interesting things we can do for her character. I know I had an idea that I pitched today, actually.”
So, there you have it. It sounds like Thea Queen will be coming out of her coma at some point this season, so be on the lookout for her return.
