This week’s episode of “The Flash” was heartbreaking, and if you’re not caught up just be aware there are spoilers ahead. For months the members of Team Flash have been trying to stop Savitar from killing Iris West, but this week he finally managed to take her life.
There’s still one more episode to go, and with the way people often return from death in the “Arrowverse” absolutely anything can happen. Many fans are assuming that Iris will be brought back somehow, and the new series description for “The Flash” adds a little more weight to that theory.
The CW released the new series description for the upcoming season, and it lists Iris West as one of the characters who will be part of the series. Also for anyone out there subscribing to the “H.R. disguised himself as Iris in order to save her theory” it’s also interesting to note that H.R. is listed as one of the characters for next season as well.

With the help of his adoptive father, Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), his lifelong best friend and love interest Iris West (Candice Patton), and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs — Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), C.S.I Julian Albert (Tom Felton), and an Earth-19 novelist named H.R. Wells (Tom Cavanaugh) — Barry continues to protect the people of Central City from the meta-humans that threaten it.
