At the end of last week’s episode of “Arrow” Adrian Chase used an EMP to trap Oliver and Felicity in the bunker, and this week they were forced to confront all of their relationship issues that they’ve been putting off for so long.
In “Arrow” season 4 the Oliver and Felicity relationship was tough to sit through at times, as it was a constant source of unnecessary romantic drama, and viewers had to endure a whole lot of whining from Felicity.
At the beginning of “Arrow” season 5 it became clear that Oliver and Felicity hadn’t fixed their issues, but they’ve been lying beneath the surface for the entire season. In “Underneath” we got to see what happened with the unhappy couple between seasons 4 and 5, and the episode gave Olicity shippers a glimmer of hope in regards to their future together.
Last night was a big step forward for both characters, as they found a way to work together without being annoying or taking anything away from the show, which is how fans always wanted it to be.
It looks like the writers may have finally gotten Olicity right, and the internet is loving it. You can check out some of the reactions below.
