One Justice League Star Doesn’t Think The Film Will Be As Good As The Avengers

A few years ago DC and Warner Bros. released “Man Of Steel” and then they went on to fully launch the DCEU with “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad” last year.

The first three films from the DCEU have been met with mixed reviews so far, and many fans have accused DC of working too hard to try and catch up to Marvel. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel took their time by giving characters standalone films before putting them together in “The Avengers.”

DC is doing things a little differently, as most of the characters won’t be getting standalone films until after “Justice League” is released in November. That means we’ll be getting our first introductions to The Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman in the ensemble film.

Diane Lane is a key part of the DCEU, as she plays Martha Kent, and the “Martha” scene from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has become one of the most infamous scenes in comic book movie history. So, she’s got that going for her.

It seems that Diane Lane might not have much faith that “Justice League” will be better than “The Avengers” as during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen she was asked two questions about the movie. She was asked if she could give spoilers for the film, and if she thinks it will be better than “The Avengers” to which she said:

“No and no. Short but honest. I hate to disappoint.”

“Justice League” is set to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
