“Suicide Squad” was released last year, and even though it made $745 million at the box office, the film was met with mixed reviews from critics and fans alike.

Everyone has their own opinion when it comes to “Suicide Squad” but the general consensus seems to be that everyone loved Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. Robbie did a great job bringing the character to life, but it turns out that the reason why she signed on to the film had more to do with the director than the character she played.

During a recent interview with Variety, Robbie opened up about why she joined the cast, and she said it was because she loved director David Ayer’s film “End of Watch.”

“The reason I signed on for ‘Suicide Squad’ was because I love ‘End of Watch’ so much and I saw it about four times at the cinema,” she said.

Robbie also revealed that she hopes to play Harley Quinn again next year, but she didn’t say what film she’ll be playing the character in.

As of right now Harley Quinn is attached to “Gotham City Sirens” and there’s also a “Joker vs. Harley Quinn” film in development, but at this point it’s not known when production is set to kick off for either film.
