It looks like Marvel and DC will be adding another chapter to their rivalry on March 25, 2016. According to Comicbook.com and Birth Movies Death, season 2 of “Daredevil” will be premiering on Netflix that day and it also happens to be the day that “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” hits theaters. That means comic fans are going to be spending a lot of time with their eyes glued to the screen on this day.
The release date could be seen as Marvel trying to take a little shot at DC, but really its the fans who win in this situation. The fans are going to be able to see The Punisher’s debut in the MCU and Batman’s debut in the DCEU all in the same day. What’s not to love about that?
It does kind of seem though that no release date DC chooses is safe from Marvel. The original release date for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” was set for May 6, 2016. But when Marvel announced that “Captain America: Civil War” would be hitting theaters the same day, DC pushed up the release of “Batman v Superman” to March.
In any case, Marvel has yet to officially comment on the release date for “Daredevil” season 2. But it looks like the rumors are true and that March 25th is going to be an action packed day for the fans.
