Hugh Jackman’s run as Wolverine is over, and he put it to rest with one final film which was released in March. “Logan” was very well received by fans and critics alike, and the film featured some great performances by the cast.

Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart’s work can’t be denied, but Dafne Keene often stole the show and she seems to be one of the breakout performers of 2017.

“Logan” was rated-R and extremely violent, so finding the right person to bring X-23 to life was no easy task. Casting directors found the right fit in 11 year old Dafne Keene, and Entertainment Weekly has released some impressive footage from her audition video.

The audition tape shows a lot of the chemistry that Keene and Jackman had in the film, and after the audition is over Hugh jokes that Dafne is the first person he’s ever worked with that hit him hard enough to give him bruises.

It turns out that Keene actually asked to improvise her audition, and it seems like it was the right call because it got her the part.

In the near future, a weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) at a remote outpost on the Mexican border. His plan to hide from the outside world gets upended when he meets a young mutant (Dafne Keen) who is very much like him. Logan must now protect the girl and battle the dark forces that want to capture her.
