When the Venom movie was first announced, fans were worried due to the fact that at first Sony seemed to have no intention of tying the movie to Spider-Man. However, Sony got everyone’s attention when Tom Hardy was cast as Eddie Brock, and Amy Pascal recently announced that the Spider-Man spin-off films will be “adjunct” to the world that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man lives in.

The studio has big plans for all things Spider-Man, and with Venom getting his own film he’s going to have to go up against one hell of a bad guy, and now a fan favorite villain is reportedly set to take on Eddie Brock in the movie.

Fans have been waiting a long time for Carnage to hit the big screen, and in 2018 it’s finally going to happen. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Carnage will be featured as a villain in the film.

It was rumored months ago that the Venom movie may be rated-R, which would make a lot of sense if the plan is to include Carnage. Cletus Kasady is a murderous psychopath, and after bonding with the symbiote, Carnage went on to become one of the most violent villains in Spider-Man history.

With Tom Hardy set to play the lead in the film it should be interesting to see who ends up landing the role of Carnage.
