There’s a lot of hype behind this year’s “Arrowverse” crossover, and in a few weeks the wait will be over.

The CW recently released the official plot synopsis for the upcoming crossover, and it reveals some interesting information about the heroes of the “Arrowverse” and their roles in the upcoming event.

The plot synopsis notes that the heroes will be getting a little help from their friends Captain Cold and The Ray, but Captain Cold isn’t listed as Captain Cold. Instead the synopsis refers to him as Citizen Cold.

How Leonard Snart enters the fray and where he comes from is unknown at this point, but it seems that we’re going to be introduced to an entirely new version of the character in the crossover.

Over the summer executive producer Phil Klemmer teased Snart’s reintroduction, and he noted that he will be the polar opposite of the Snart we’ve come to know.

“It will be about as polar opposite as the Snart that he’s played on our show. We’ve got a cool pitch to justify that version of him, which I don’t want to give away. But it’s going to be really traumatic for Mick Rory, because he has defied this version of his dead partner in his head, and in a way, Snart’s return is his greatest wish come true, but the fact that he doesn’t get the version that he’s held in the back of his mind is deeply unsettling. Rory’s made a lot of progress as well in the meantime, but he’s certainly not ready to call himself a hero.”

Judging from Klemmer’s comments, and the fact that Cold is now Citizen Cold, it seems that we might be meeting a more heroic version of Leonard Snart this time around.

One way or another Snart’s time in the “Arrowverse” is almost up, because Wentworth Miller recently said that he filmed his final scenes as Captain Cold.

The “Arrowverse” crossover will air on the CW on November 27 and 28.
