It was announced a few months ago that Katie Cassidy will be a series regular in season 6, which means in theory that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Black Siren, although executive producer Marc Guggenheim has said that some serious regulars may have been killed off in the season 5 finale.

One way or another, we haven’t seen the last of Black Siren yet, because if Katie Cassidy is on the set then that means she’s at least filming something for the show.

Cassidy took to Twitter earlier today to share a behind the scenes photo and let fans know she’s back at work.

Will Black Siren find redemption in season 6? We’ll have to wait and find out.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice.

As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).

Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family”.

Prometheus has been the big bad of season 5, and he’s only become even more evil since it’s been revealed that he’s Adrian Chase. The Star City District Attorney locked Oliver up in a recent episode and he tortured him until he confessed that he doesn’t kill because he has to, he kills because he likes it.

Now Oliver is torn, and he has decided to stop being the Green Arrow, but obviously he’ll be putting on the hood once again to take down Prometheus at some point, but in the season finale he’ll have to answer a very important question.

TV Line recently spoke to one of the producers of “Arrow” and they were able to get the scoop on a few new details concerning the season finale. In the finale Oliver will be saying goodbye to Lian Yu not only in the flashbacks, but once and for all in the present as well. So, it should be fun to see how the season 5 finale matches up with the pilot.

Oliver will also continue to struggle with his humanity, and he will have to decide whether he’s a killer or a hero.

“Chase keeps 10 steps ahead of Team Arrow, forcing Oliver to face his violent past and answer the question once and for all: Is he a killer, or a hero? To answer that, Oliver will be forced to let go of the fate his father burdened him with and aim for a new legacy. And as Oliver’s five years’ worth of flashbacks come to an end, you will see how he planned his escape from Lian Yu — while in the present, Oliver bids said island a final farewell.”

Oliver Queen has been trying not to kill over the past few seasons, but we can’t act like he hasn’t broken that rule in a season finale before. He did just kill Ra’s al Ghul and Damien Darhk in back to back seasons after all.

But will he kill Prometheus? Perhaps he’s recruiting Deathstroke to do his dirty work.

We’ll find out when the “Arrow” season 5 finale airs on May 24th.

After failing to redeem Earth-2’s Black Siren, Oliver and company headed to Hub City to recruit Dinah Drake, and she’s been a welcome addition to the team. Unlike Laurel Lance, Dinah actually has a legitimate Canary Cry due to the fact that she’s a metahuman, and actress Juliana Harkavy also has great chemistry with the rest of the cast.

Black Siren is currently locked up on Earth-1, but it’s been confirmed that she will be returning before season 5 ends, and that Katie Cassidy will be a series regular in season 6.

Juliana Harkavy recently spoke to TV Line about life on the “Arrow” set and she said that she’s not sure if Black Siren and Black Canary will face off, but it certainly sounds like something she would interested in filming.

“I actually don’t know if a face-off is in store, but that would be epic!”

When Dinah Drake first joined the team, many fans were wondering if she would eventually become romantic with Oliver. Harkavy noted that Dinah is fond of Oliver, but there doesn’t seem to be any romance in their relationship just yet.

“I think that these are the people she’s allowed herself to get closest to in a very long time. This is the first group that she’s allowed herself to be vulnerable with. Oliver was the one who sought her out and let her in, so her connection to him in particular is a special one. She has a particular fondness for Oliver — not in a romantic way, but as a partner. And with Diggle, he’s the second in command, and that appeals to Dinah. She likes to sort of team up and go on runs with him. He’s a competent fighter and so is she.”

“Arrow” will return on April 26th.

“Yes, crossovers are what I’m most excited for, just because the potential of that! I want to go on “The Flash.” I want everybody to come on to our show,” Lotz said. “I want to see, like, especially with Earth Two on “Flash,” I think it’d be really cool to kind of see the Black Siren, which is Katie Cassidy. I want to see Katie Cassidy and Danielle Panabaker’s evil alter egos. I want to go head-to-head with them.”

As far as her own evil doppelganger goes, Caity Lotz says she’s down to meet her, but she doesn’t think she should be as dangerous as White Canary.

“Ooh, I’d love that. I would love that. Or I think my alter ego should just be, like, something really lame. Or not lame, but chill and simple. I’d be, like, a librarian, or I knit scarves. That’s what Sara does in Earth Two.”

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” will return on the CW on October 13th.
