“Suicide Squad” hit theaters back in August, and although the film might not have been a big hit with the critics, it hit big at the box office.
Despite the fact that many critics slammed the film, the fans still turned out to see it, and beyond that, it seems a great deal of fans enjoyed the movie.
“Suicide Squad” recently finished up its sixth weekend in theaters and the movie reached a new milestone over the past few days. “Suicide Squad” has now made over $700 million at the global box office.
Director David Ayer took to Twitter to thank fans for supporting the film and you can see what he had to say below.

Figuring they’re all expendable, a U.S. intelligence officer decides to assemble a team of dangerous, incarcerated supervillains for a top-secret mission. Now armed with government weapons, Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc and other despicable inmates must learn to work together. Dubbed Task Force X, the criminals unite to battle a mysterious and powerful entity, while the diabolical Joker (Jared Leto) launches an evil agenda of his own.
