Stephen Amell Says “Sure, Why Not?” To The Possibility Of Doing A Marvel Film

Stephen Amell is currently starring in the DC Comics show “Arrow” which is halfway through its fourth season. But we all know the show can’t last forever. During a recent Facebook live chat Amell mentioned that “Arrow” was originally planned to be a five season show. He did however say that he’s open to doing more seasons beyond five and that he could see it going for six or seven seasons.

But like we said earlier the show isn’t likely to last forever. So would Stephen Amell be open to taking on another superhero role, perhaps with Marvel next time around? According to Amell, he’s open to the idea.

“Sure, why not? I’m up for roles, movie roles, although I’ve never really read many Marvel Comics and I was always a DC guy even before I was a DC guy. But it’s not like if I got offered an awesome Marvel superhero, I’d be like ‘No, I can’t.’” Amell told fans on Facebook.

Of course right now it’s hard to imagine him playing any comic book character other than Oliver Queen, but that could change. It’s certainly not uncommon at all for actors to play multiple comic book characters. Heck, Ryan Reynolds jumped from a Marvel film to a DC film, and then back to a Marvel film. So anything is possible.

What do you guys think, would you like to see Stephen Amell join the MCU at some point?
