“Arrow” was originally planned to be a five season story arc, but the plan has changed because “Arrow” will be returning for season 6 in the fall. Stephen Amell is the star of the show, and he’s been there since day one, and he’s experienced all of the ups, and unfortunately some of the downs that go along with playing Oliver Queen in the series.

The first two seasons of “Arrow” have received a lot of praise from the fans, and although the general consensus is that season 3 didn’t live up to the quality of the first two seasons, it still included some memorable moments. However, season 4 was pretty much universally panned by fans and critics alike, and Stephen Amell hasn’t been shy about letting the public know that he agrees with their opinions.

During a panel at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in New York this weekend, Stephen Amell was asked to rank the “Arrow” seasons, and he omitted season 4 entirely.

“Season 1, for sure, and then season 5, and then season 2, and then season 3, and that’s it.”

The fan who recorded the video above noted that it cut off before Amell said, “I’m going to get in trouble for this.”

“Arrow” season 4 is infamous for all the wrong reasons as it seems that the show struggled to find its identity after “The Flash” launched and introduced metahumans into the “Arrowverse.”

Luckily the show bounced back big time when it returned to its roots in season 5, and it looks like we can expect more dark and gritty storytelling in season 6.

“Arrow” will return for season 6 on Thursday, October 12.
