Rumor Has It Marvel Has Cast Asa Butterfield As The New Spider-Man

It’s been rumored for weeks now that Asa Butterfield was the front runner to play Spider-Man next and it seems that Marvel has made their choice. Umberto Gonzalez who is notorious for breaking stories like this is claiming via Instagram that Butterfield has indeed been cast for the role of Peter Parker.

Latino Review is reporting the same thing as well and also claiming that “Captain America: Civil War” will be Spider-Man’s big Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.

With “Captain America: Civil War” already in production we should be getting an official announcement soon. Gonzalez says it’s just a matter of paperwork being signed before Marvel lets the world know they’ve made their choice. Asa Butterfield being cast would also back up recent reports that Marvel wants to introduce a high school age Spidey into their cinematic universe.
