Spider-Man had a great year at the box office with “Homecoming” and the film was released to rave reviews and fans have a lot to look forward to when it comes to Spider-Man’s future on the big screen.
Fans will also be seeing several other Spider-Man characters on the big screen over the next few years as Black Cat and Silver Sable are set to star in a film, and earlier this year it was announced that Tom Hardy will play Eddie Brock in a Venom standalone film.
Variety is now reporting that Michelle Williams is in talks to play a district attorney opposite Tom Hardy and she will possibly be Eddie Brock’s love interest. The studio has reportedly been meeting with multiple actresses for the part and shooting is set to begin next month.
Sony declined to comment on the report.
The Venom standalone film is set to be directed by Ruben Fleischer and Riz Ahmed is also set to appear in the film in an undisclosed role.
“Venom” will arrive in theaters on October 5, 2018.
