Video game movies haven’t exactly worked out all that well in Hollywood, but fans of “Metal Gear Solid” have been waiting a long time to see the beloved franchise adapted on the big screen.
Sony is moving forward with a “Metal Gear Solid” film which “Kong: Skull Island” director Jordan Vogt-Roberts is set to helm.
Now Variety is reporting that “Jurassic World” writer Derek Connolly is set to pen the script with Avi Arad attached as a producer.
The “Metal Gear Solid” film has been in development for some time, but progress on the movie has been slow.
There’s still no word on casting announcements, or when the film will go into production, but hopefully Connolly joining the movie is a sign that the project will finally be moving forward.
