Marvel Studios and Sony are hoping to cure Spider-Man fatigue this summer when “Spider-Man: Homecoming” hits theaters. Fans have had to take in three different Spider-Man franchises over the past 10 years, and everyone’s hoping they get it right this time so the reboots will stop.
Sam Raimi’s first two Spider-Man films are still held in high regard even though the third film doesn’t have the best reputation. Kirsten Dunst played Mary Jane Watson in the trilogy, and during a recent interview with Marie Claire, she didn’t have much love for the reboots.
We made the best ones, so who cares? I’m like, “You make it all you want.” They’re just milking that cow for money. It’s so obvious. You know what I mean?’
Dunst also recently threw some shade at the new movies during a recent interview with Variety.
“I don’t care. Everyone likes our Spider-Man. C’mon, am I right or what? Listen, I’d rather be in the first ones than the new ones.”
