The MCU is stronger than ever at the moment with “Spider-Man: Homecoming” set to drop in July and Thor coming in November. The stars of the MCU have also been busy this year filming “Avengers: Infinity War” which is set to be released in May of 2018.

The film will be the culmination of the events that have taken place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe up to this point, and it will also change the franchise in a big way by the time “Avengers 4” is all wrapped up.

JoBlo recently asked Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige if “Infinity War” will be the end for some MCU fan favorites and he simply said “yes.”

Captain America is a character who is rumored to be working on borrowed time as Chris Evans recently confirmed that his contract with Marvel doesn’t go beyond “Avengers 4” and he also teased that the movie will “wrap everything up.”

Iron Man is another character who could possibly be on his way out as Robert Downey Jr. has been with the MCU since day one when “Iron Man” launched in May of 2008. When asked straight up if Marvel has plans to make more movies based around Iron Man or Captain America after “Avengers 4” Feige gave a vague answer.

“We have another two years of hard work to even finish these movies, and they [the actors] have a lot of hard work to do, so thats all we’re thinking about, is completing those and delivering on the promise of those. Where it goes beyond that, we’ll see.”

Feige didn’t say one way or another if they’ll be killed off or not, but according to him we’ll be losing some characters. Who do you think will be saying goodbye to the MCU? Sound off in the comments below.

“Avengers: Infinity War” will open in theaters on May 4, 2018.
